In the wake of the 9 magnitude earthquake and tsunami that devastated northeastern Japan, the technology community is responding with a flood of promised relief. Apple is taking Red Cross donations via iTunes. Microsoft is offering cash, software and technical support, and telecom companies are offering free calls to Japan.

ServerPronto and its sister company CloudPronto are also doing their part to help customers in Japan during this critical hour in the nation's history. The company is suspending billing for dedicated server and cloud server customers across Japan at least through April. ServerPronto is also providing customers impacted by the earthquake and tsunami free incident support and urging employees to support relief organizations working in Japan.

"We have customers in Japan that are reeling from the earthquake, the tsunami and now growing radiation dangers from a nuclear meltdown," said Octavio Diaz, Operations Manager at ServerPronto. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Japan. The last thing they should have to think about is dedicated server fees. We will automatically waive all fees for our customers in Japan through April."
